I carry my home within me
Who:Khemrys, Any
When: At the start of things
What: A healer stumbles through a portal to find a role such as she has held before.
The cube world she had grown comfortable upon had...faltered. The Elo that had bound her shattered when she stepped upon the paths and she could feel her own world and the Hunt calling her home. The answer, as ever, was to run. There was no bridge back to her temporary sanctuary, but she could flee the bonds of her own world until the feeling stretched and strained and finally snapped, allowing a greater Need to rush in and pluck her from the darkness.
When she woke it was in a simple, molded chair in a hospital built on a larger scale than the one she had worked in previously. The fitful flashing of the Emergency room lights brightened as she watched, flooding the rooms around her with clear, clean light. "Hello Doctor," the voice came over the PA system, simple and clinical.
"Hello?" she offered in kind. "Where is this?"
"The hospital, will you take up a term of service here doctor?"
"...yes, if there is need?"
"Your account will be credited monthly, have a nice day doctor!"
Well, that was certainly...odd? One could probably follow her progress through the hospital by the floors that lit up the moment she came off each set of stairs. This empty hospital had a doctor now, mayhap there would be need in time. For now, well, best she familiarize herself with the layout? Abandoned or no it seemed as if someone or something felt a doctor may be needed...and the longer she kept herself busy the less time she had to mourn the loss of the home she had built.

When he went to open the door and continue his mission, he found a janitorial closet. So no exit back the way he came. He searched through his pockets to see if he could find his Elo, if he could then he could just text message Lea, Chrome, Hiccup, Tazendra, or Khemrys. But try as he might, he couldn't find the device, he knew he hadn't left it behind, that had been very important.
Since there was plenty of light in the hospital, he vanished the lantern up his sleeve and went searching for someone to ask where he was.
He quickly got it in his head that this place was abandoned. It was only when he started hearing soft sounds of something, rather someone, moving that he realized he wasn't as alone as he thought.
He fingered a blade and approached, but when he saw who it was, he didn't draw his blade. "Khemrys?" How had she arrived here? Was she the same shifter he had met back on Penrose?

Grace was a good fall back in times of stress.
"My Elo has...shattered. Have you come to find a wayward healer or did my flight through the Darkness carve a path for others?"

"I was greeted in the emergency room, a voice on the announcement system? And I was offered a doctor's position here. Then I walked eight floors and you are the first soul I have found. You are uninjured though yes? I hope? It would be a terrible thing to come to a new place bleeding."
No excuse, I'm extremely sorry for the delay
A moment of philosophical advice from Loki of all people. "I hope we are not the only two people here. I also hope some of the others from Penrose have made it here."
He paused, "I do not believe I would have gone back to Asgard, either." He was not looking forward to whatever punishment Odin likely had in store for him.
*snug*
"Would you care to tour the remaining floors with me or will you be seeking outward?"

Loki shook his arms a little, that didn't work quite as well as normal, but still worked. He gestured again and the crib reappeared. "It appears, that my powers are in order."
There was something that felt like it was leeching his abilities a bit, it was a tad more difficult to vanish the crib than he thought it should be. Sure, a large object wasn't easy, but it was doable.

...
...odd.
"Where does it go when you do such?"

That was mildly concerning. After all, it was the link that lead her back to Penrose.
"But surely there is a Moogle about; I merely need to seek one out."
Which she was doing. Loudly. "Good day!"

Which, come to think about it, made Tazendra wonder if she'd kept Penrosian magic with her. Her theory had been that she could use Penrose's magic because of her connection with the Lantern, just as she'd done with the Orb in her home. But if the Elos were gone and shattered, and her lantern was extinguished...
