Who: Chrome
When: T-10 seconds to emotional whiplash
What: Worlds crumble and she ends up...not home. Again.

It happened between one breath and the next. She'd been in the eternal Autumn of her old new-world performing a leap during spear practise, and come down on concrete hard enough to make her stumble and bash her knee. That wasn't what had her sit on the ground and cry, however. She wept because reaching for healing magic failed but her power boiled up at her touch. Her power took the place of the Elo to keep her alive, her power allowed her to cover her scars, her power. Illusion at her fingertips and joy in her heart...yet Mukuro was still not here. Her mind was still bleeding out for him, and that mitigated her joy and made her sorrow.

So she wept, both in joy and in sorrow, while playing illusions around herself on the ground.

"Didn't expect you to," she admitted, "just if we stumble on one somehow...oh." Hey. Mini dinosaurs.

They were kind of like carnivorous, brightly colored geese the way they moved. Wow. "So, after the T-rex is taken care of?"

"Now works." she just made a cage around one of the squealing little things and hung it from a lamp-post. "Just remember where I left it, okay?"

Then she had to trot a bit faster since her cow was running faster than she could thanks to the size of the T-Rex's footprints.

"Or now," she chuckled, looking at the poor confused thing as it dangled in the sudden cage. "And will do." Hmmm, speed was going to be a problem wasn't it?

Just a bit. "Hang on! Bike!" She darted off to the side to snag the set of wheels she'd spotted in a rack.

"Oh, ah..." she looked at the bike for a moment, "How are we both going to ride it?"

"Hop on the handle bars!" she noted easily. "I'll get us after the thing, you just concentrate on making it not eat us!"

"Ah?" she didn't hop so much as she climbed, awkwardly, to balance as carefully as possible. Then create a seatbelt of sorts.

"...okay you've never done this before. Sorry, it can be a little weird if you didn't grow up doing it, should have thought of that..." not that she was delaying as she babbled at herself in annoyance. No, she kicked them off the moment Chrome was 'settled', and hey, she had far better wind as a violin girl it seemed!

"Mostly I walked places." Chrome offered, "I'll learn!" she gripped tightly to the handlebars and did her best to keep from falling off while also making the cow look (what she assumed was) tasty and edible.

"Nothing wrong with that. I only did bikes really because Pogo taught me to ride and it was cheaper than bus fare a lot of places later." Ah, she missed Pogo. Maybe some day the sudden pang would lessen but for now, well...

...she was glad she felt it.

And now they were chasing a T-rex that was chasing a fake cow. Seemed about the proper level of weird honestly. "No sign of a bridge yet..."

"Ah, it's down another few blocks and to the left." she said, white knuckled. This was very disconcerting. VERY.

Yeah, this would be a bad time to mention she couldn't really see much around the girl on the handlebars right? Best leave that unsaid! "Okay, awesome, you tell me when to turn!"

"In about two meters take a left." she said firmly, "Ah, you know metric right? I'm not comfortable with feet and stuff."

"We were raised metric," she noted easily, hanging the left as instructed. "This is starting to look more like it!" Proper 'drop something on a dinosaur' territory. It was probably an artsy quarter of the city given all the balconies and winding bridge spans!

"Oh, good." she said, "Okay...look for something that looks useful to you. I'm going to make more cows." a whole herd of milling cows, wandering around being...cows.

"The bridges look very spindly, but see that jutting balcony? That looks like solid marble, bet it was a concert spike, meant to resonate music when a group played there." Solid, meant to seat a good number of people, and overhanging.

Perfect right?

"I'll need a place to stand...hmm...that balcony next to it, give me five minutes?"

"Or I can fly us up there." Chrome said with a grin, "That'd be faster." also she got to fly. She enjoyed that use of Flames.

"...or that. You're just full of surprises huh? You won't lose cows by dividing your attention?" She didn't think so but hey, best to ask than assume! Especially since big and ugly was being nice and distracted chasing the herd in circles.

"Mist users have uniquely flexible minds." she said cheerfully, hopping off the bike's handlebars and creating a flat platform of purple fire.

"Then we're good!" Totally! And flying. They could do that. "For safety's sake stand behind me okay?"

Chrome nodded and stood behind Vanya from the moment that they started heading up, "Anything else I should do for safety?" she asked, unsure what the older woman was planning on doing.

"Maybe plug your ears?" she admitted a touch sheepishly. "But you should be okay." Hopefully anyway, and taking out a T-rex was a good cause and all.

"Can do." she agreed, dropping a nice soundproof shield around herself, "Tap my shoulder when you're done, okay?" then she settled down to watch what Vanya was going to do.

Soundproof, that was good. Maybe not enough if Vanya was facing the girl but definitely a good idea. She stood at the edge of the balcony, watching the giant reptile for a bit, then when the meandering placed him well she lifted a hand to her strings and cut loose with a few notes.

Marble was...pretty fragile all things considered. Sadly predators that were used to other things being larger than them were pretty light on their feet. The damn dino twitched, saving him from a braining, but at least those giant legs and were well and truly pinned under the stone.

Chrome smiled at Vanya when the all clear was given and stepped casually off the balcony before arranging herself into the perfect position for her spear to pierce through the dinosaur's eye; once she was certain of her aim she dropped her mist platform and called her spear to hand. Her fall was silent and instead of shying off once the eye was pierced she kept going right damn down until her boots met brain matter.

Oh, the shower she was going to take. It would be epic in both heat and duration.

"That looked...splutchy." she called down from the balcony. "But one T-rex down for the count and longer I assume. Unless it has a secondary brain in it's spine and can run on sheer reflex reactions."
