So this is just a theory...
So hello again lovely little empty city! I was thinking last night, and yes I know most of you wouldn't know what that's like, but really, I was thinking what this place needed was a little life in it's dusty streets!
Wouldn't that be lovely? I'm a good Samaritan like that, honest, I had my hopes set on giving any of you who happen to be out there companions! Friends! Bosom neighbors! Mix and match any of those terms and I was hoping to give it to you, my gift, my treat!
Now a bit of personal revelation about your estimable DJ here, I'm from something of a prolific species. We tend to, as the scientists would say, expand to fill a biological niche, and this is quite the empty niche indeed! So the thing was I hopped in the shower intent on bringing you all a bit of life and...
...nothing. Nothing at all, imagine that! Now, I have several theories, naturally, and the first was that I had in some manner been sterilized as much as this city. LUCKILY that is not the case! I know you're all dying to know how I'd determine something like that but no, dear listeners, that's a bit private and you'll have far more fun trying not to imagine possibilities! Alright, well, moving on, the impetus is there, and then, simply, it's not.
Now how strange is that? But I did notice that the television came to flickering life during my shower and the water heated and that's interesting now isn't it? I've never been a battery before but somehow I think it's quite apropos! Oh I'm sure you all have differing opinions on such but really, a personal responsibility for heating water? Why, that's almost charming isn't it?
Almost.
Archaic, perhaps, colonial, every man for himself, but really whatever brightens your life in the wattage sense isn't it? I'm choosing to be amused. Granted you should call and discuss your own opinions, don't be shy, there's a flamethrower as top prize!
Ah, and yes, I did see a swarm of something passing the windows here. They looked like fanged butterflies. Delightful fauna this city has, I do wonder what they eat?
